AI-native children's toys are entering people's lives in a new form. "Leap Innovation" has launched the BubblePal product, which integrates hardware and software to provide interactive dialogue capabilities for plush toys with children.
BubblePal has a semi-circular bubble shape and is made of edible silicone material. When lightly pressed, the built-in device lights up and receives user dialogue, generating relevant answers. Users can create different characters in the app backend, such as Elsa from "Frozen" or Woody from "Toy Story", and BubblePal will generate responses based on the character's attributes.
In terms of technical approach, "Leap Innovation" adopts a dual-layer model of large model + small model:
- The large model provides generation and logical reasoning capabilities, and can flexibly call different models.
- The small model provides emotional value, and after training, can recognize children's emotional fluctuations and output responses that fit the current situation.
To increase fun, "Leap Innovation" has optimized the model for common role-playing games. BubblePal will be available on domestic e-commerce platforms at the end of this month for 499 yuan, and will also be sold overseas through independent sites and Amazon.
Compared to traditional smart speakers, AI-native children's toys eliminate the tool attribute and focus on emotional companionship. They have the ability to capture, understand, and provide feedback on emotions, enabling more human-like communication with children and jointly constructing an imaginative world.
"Leap Innovation" believes that entering the AI hardware field from the children's toy track currently has several advantages:
- The openness of AI-generated content aligns with interactive educational scenarios for children
- Strong domestic hardware manufacturing supply chain advantages
- Targeting refined tracks within vertical categories gives startups more opportunities to occupy high ground
In the future, "Leap Innovation" plans to open-source AI model algorithm capabilities to provide basic platform capabilities for other children's toy manufacturers, jointly building an intelligent toy ecosystem in the AGI era.
