Zuckerberg and Huang's Fireside Chat: AI Dialogue Sparks Intense Reactions

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced at the SIGGRAPH conference that engineering samples of the Blackwell architecture have begun shipping globally this week. Afterward, he engaged in a lively conversation with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, during which they even swapped clothes. During the talk, Zuckerberg became visibly emotional at one point, even using profanity.

At the SIGGRAPH computer graphics conference, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang revealed that NVIDIA has begun sending engineering samples of Blackwell chips globally. He emphasized the important role of AI in the development of Hopper and Blackwell chips.

Huang had a conversation with Zuckerberg, and they exchanged custom jackets. Huang put on a "black leather-style" cotton jacket, while Zuckerberg wore Huang's "second-hand" leather jacket.

NVIDIA announced the creation of the world's first generative AI model that understands OpenUSD. OpenUSD is a universal scene description language. The Edify AI model created by NVIDIA can generate text-to-2D images.

Using Omniverse, multimodal data and content can be combined, including 3D, AI, animation, and materials. Through conditional prompts, images can be generated on demand. WPP showcased work completed using Shutterstock with well-known brands.

NVIDIA introduced NIM microservices, customized for different workflows, including OpenUSD, 3D modeling, physics, materials, robotics, and more.

Huang predicted that the next wave of AI is physical AI. Robotics technology requires three computers: one for training AI, one for testing AI in simulation, and one for AI inside the robot.

NVIDIA's development journey is closely related to computer graphics. After its founding in 1993, they invented the first programmable shading GPU in 2001, driving the company's growth. NVIDIA's core is accelerated computing, aiming to solve problems that ordinary computers cannot.
